DescriptionThis doll portrays a bannerman holding a banner in his right hand and a sword with lacquered sheath. He wears a flat helmet with a light brown cord, lacquered paper armor with silk lacing, a thick belt covered with moss green silk, and a pair of bulky pants made of silk with stripes. His face is round and painted with white gofun. The white banner is attached to a long pole with a round fitting at the top. The banner has a circular crest with three horizontal lines within it (hikiryōmon).
