DescriptionThis doll portrays a fierce warrior with arms, including two swords, a bow, and seven arrows. The warrior is dressed in layers of silk clothing. The sleeves of the outer jacket have the crest of Toyotomi Hideyoshi, but the quiver has a different crest. The armor plates are covered with orange silk crepe, and they are joined by beige silk cords. The plates are decorated with thin metal ornaments such as a breastplate with dragon roundel. The helmet is covered with silk crepe and decorated with metallic pieces. The warrior wears a thick purple belt tied around the waist. The saihai is made of lacquered bamboo, foil-covered paper, and cords wrapped with gold foil. The two swords and sheath are made of wood. The shorter sword's hilt is covered with shark skin, and the longer sword's hilt has a menuki inside the wrapping cords.
