DescriptionThis doll portrays a bannerman holding a banner with a crest depicting encircled and crossing two eagle feathers. His face is round and painted with pigmented gofun, his hair is tied, and he wears a bowl-shaped helmet with a cord. He wears lacquered paper armor with light blue lacings. The robe and pants are made of silk fabric brocaded with metal-foiled paper threads. The belt is wrapped with moss-green plain silk. The socks and the arm cover protecting the lower left arm are made of black velvet. He wears straw sandals (waraji). He has a sword, and its hilt is covered with white shark skin.
