DescriptionThis doll portrays a bannerman holding a banner in his right hand. He wears a flat helmet with a red cord, lacquered paper armor with metal bosses, silk lacing, and a thick belt covered with plain white silk. he wears His face is round and painted with pigmented gofun. The white banner is attached to a long pole with a square fitting at the top. The banner has a think black horizontal line above a thin black horizontal line, under which depicted an encircled orange (tachibana) motif.
