DescriptionThis doll portrays a bannerman holding a five-colored banner made of brocaded silk in his right hand. He kneels on his right knee and holds his right arm up to hold the banner. His hair is not tied, and he wears a flat helmet. He wears a suit of armor with black-lacquered breast and back panels and transparent-lacquered plates joined by beige lacings. His robe is made of dark blue silk with ochre-colored silk brocade. His pants and socks are moss-green cottons with white cherry blossom patterns. He wears a pair of straw sandals (waraji). He has a long, thin sword, which may not belong to him originally.
