DescriptionThis doll portrays a bannerman holding a banner in his right hand and a sword with lacquered sheath. He wears a flat, lacquered helmet, lacquered paper armor with silk lacing, a thick belt covered with white fabric, and a pair of bulky pants. His face is round and painted with pigmented gofun. The red, silk brocade banner is attached to a long pole with a square fitting at the top.
