DescriptionThe four dolls portray rōnin (masterless warriors), and the collars of their jackets identify them as Banshū akō rōshi (Masterless Warriors of Akō Domain, Harima State). Their names are also inscribed on their collars: Horibe Yasubei Taketsune (1), Horibe Yahei Kanamaru (4), Hazama Jūjirō Mitsuoki (6), and Takebayashi Yuishichi Takashige (10). They pose in theatrical manner as they hold swords and spears. They hair is all tied up and they wear matching headbands (hachimaki). The dolls are mounted on the base with the pins on their feet.
