DescriptionNeedle lace; small-scale Venetian needle lace almost entirely in close buttonholing but with small areas of decorative fillings and raised ornamentation. The lace was remodeled in the late 19th century; the linking bars and the lower edging date from then, as does some of the raised ornamentation, notably the small round rings. The needle and bobbin-made headings also date from the 19th century.
