DescriptionUsing fine black lines, this vertically oriented drypoint print depicts a standing, full-bodied woman. With the woven basket beside her at the left side of the image, she occupies the majority of the composition. She is standing with her body in a three-quarters profile pose, while her head is turned to the right in profile. Her proper right arm hangs at her side, while her proper left arm is extended, and bent at the elbow. She holds a flower in her proper left hand. The ambiguous environment within which the woman stands is suggested through a series lines that frame her body. Above her head and near the upper left corner of the image is the monogram “AB.”Exhibition HistoryNone
