DescriptionNeedle lace worked on a grid of narrow plaits and of twisted threads oversewn in whipping and interlacing stitches. The needle lace pattern is built up with buttonholed bars and rows of solid buttonholing. The lower projecting parts are worked free from the edge of a plait, and between the plait and the first line of twisted threads are decorative inserted stitches worked in imitation of the openwork edges of cutwork.
