SignedThe hand painted sign reads ‘NEPTUNE’ in white letters on a black background.
The NEPTUNE sign has corrosion spots, paint losses and craquelure. Paint losses on the sign reveal old paint layers and hand painted letters underneath the current signage. Layers of blue and green paint with white lettering spelling out, ‘T(?)ED’ on the proper right end and ‘CHUP(?)’ on the proper left. The verso of the sign is coated in red paint.
