DescriptionIn the lower left of this four-color lithograph proof for Bird Dream, there is a man facing right, a yellow dog with mouth open, teeth and tongue visible, facing right, and a man’s head facing left. A speech bubble is coming from his mouth but the word inside is illegible. In the middle layer, a human figure (hard to tell which gender) on its back, with its head on the viewer’s right and its feet on the viewer’s right, knees bent and legs open to the crotch, a sort of stomach medallion, arms bent over a torso that looks like a human face with large eyes, a long nose and smiling mouth, oval head on a long skinny neck. On the top, a colorful roadrunner racing from left to right. The predominant colors are yellow, pink, orange, and blue.Provenance
