DescriptionThis is a four-color lithograph proof for Trabajo. On the left edge of the print, part of a man’s face partially turned to our right. The cheeks, forehead and chin are maroon; the open mouth is green; the nose is grey and the eyebrows are black. The ground color is a brilliant yellow. To his right, a bird (pigeon) facing left in profile with its feet on some sort of free-floating support. It has white feet, a “pompadour,” red and white shoulder feathers, and red and green tail feathers. Green rays emanating upwards from its body point to two small dark grey male heads. The head on the left has a green forehead and the one on the right a red headband. On the right edge of the print, a man’s face with green skin, yellow floral designs on its proper right cheek and temple, a grey nose and eyelids, and a red mouth.Provenance
