DescriptionTwo bald, pot-bellied ceramic boys face each other while a grey monkey leaps over their heads. The boy on the left, facing right, has red circles on his cheeks and rudimentary red hands clutched to his chest. A black line across his stomach and down his proper right side suggests a belt or trousers, although his penis is visible. A red circle hovers over his hands. A darker red circle hovers over his forehead. The boy on the right, facing left, wears a pale chin strap visible across his proper left cheek but is otherwise nude. The leaping monkey is not ceramic but a drawing. It has pale grey fur with darker grey patches and a pink face, hands and feet.ProvenanceC. Richard Belger and Evelyn Craft Belger, Kansas City, MO;
