DescriptionMan wearing wide brimmed hat seated on rock, proper left foot extended, right foot drawn under, turned to proper left, he looks down and points with right hand to book of wallpaper samples held in left hand and balanced on left hip. Girl wearing bonnet sits on ground next to vendor's extended left leg, her right hand pressed to the ground, her left hand reaching up to turn back lower corners of wallpaper samples. Older woman in plumed bonnet crouches slightly and leans forward to examine paper, pointing with her right index finger. Vendor is scaled larger than the two female figures. The grassy mound on which they are seated serves as a base.
