DescriptionFamille verte plate with polychrome glaze decoration of birds and flowers. A band of floral designs in red glaze encircles the edge.Gallery Label

Chinese artists often depict a group of diverse birds to represent a collective number of 100 individuals  paying homage to an honoree. Each plate’s rim is inscribed with wan shou wu jiang 萬壽無疆: May you have ten thousand years of longevity without boundary.
