DescriptionDroplet (Vessel with Blue Glaze) is a large, spherical ceramic vessel featuring a crackled blue glaze on its exterior. The upper half is coated in a vibrant turquoise hue, which gradually transitions into a deeper, darker blue toward the lower half. The interior is glazed in a yellowish-green tone. A light-yellow glaze encircles the mouth of the vessel. The foot at the base measures approximately one inch in depth, and the artist’s signature and seal are inscribed on the bottom.Gallery Label- 205
“Droplet embodies the idea that a single drop of water can represent the vastness of the sky and the depths of the ocean. The gradation of blue glaze evokes both the endless ocean and open sky, inviting viewers to imagine the expansive natural world, and the lives it sustains, contained within one small drop. By representing water on this scale, I hope to suggest that even the smallest [part of nature] can symbolize a grand, cosmic interconnectedness … My wish is for viewers to pause and reflect on the profound power and beauty of nature itself.”
