DescriptionThis oil painting features a lone female figure in the foreground of the composition facing the viewer’s left. Her hands are clutched together and she walks along a non-descript path. The subject of the work is dressed in a pink, long-sleeved dress with a knee-length skirt featuring pleats and folds of fabric. The background features suggestions of foliage and plants as well as a concrete wall. Beyond the wall, at the right side of the painting, the artist has rendered industrial architecture. This pink-hued building is reminiscent of factories and power plants. The sky is full of grey-tinted hues of blue with a large singular cloud just above the figure’s head.ProvenancePurchased from Treadway Gallery, Cincinnati, Ohio, 2013;
