DescriptionA young girl with no facial features sits on the ground behind the suggestion of another person who would be lying down in front of the girl. A poem is imposed over the pair of figures that reads: “Oh well. Goodbye, goodbye / Goodbye to furby, to jelly shoes, matching stuffed / animals, plastic flowers, mall trips, roll-on glitter / bonbons polish, goodbye to plastic jewel rings. / Goodbye to togetherness” . In the lower third of the composition, the word GOODBYE is painted in large pink letters partially obscuring the lines of text. Large painted pink bows occupy the upper left and right corners of this horizontally oriented piece.Exhibition HistoryFantasmas, United Colors Gallery, Kansas City, Missouri, February 1–March 31, 2024.
