DescriptionThis large, vertically oriented painting features a woman’s face in lavender and gray hues its upper-left quadrant. Her eyes are downcast or closed and her lips are full. The surface of the paint in this area of the woman’s face is finely wrinkled. In the upper left corner, above the woman’s eyes, is a black shape reminiscent of an ink spill. Five metallic-looking silver rings that appear convincingly three dimensional and reflective cascade from the upper right corner of the painting down to the lower left. They increase in diameter as they near the lower edge of the aluminum panel. Behind the ring closest to the lower right corner and extending down to the lower edge of the panel is a smear of paint that ranges from a coral-red color, gray, and lilac, to beige. The background of the painting is white. Throughout the image, there are visible brush strokes and thick areas of paint that contrast with the smoothness of other areas.Exhibition HistoryArdomancer, April
