DescriptionThe horizontally oriented black-and-white print Relics depicts at its center a shack that is scarcely standing. Filling the composition nearly top to bottom and left to right, its roof has caved in and its side walls threaten to collapse. Long boards appear to prop up the structure in an attempt to prevent it from totally falling down. In the lower left corner of the composition, standing before the decrepit shack and facing to the left, is an emaciated swayed back mule wearing a harness and bridle.ProvenanceAuldlyn Higgins Williams and E.T.
