DescriptionSilver coffee pot with straight tapered body and engraved coat-of-arms on one side only. It has a domed bottom, rests on three feet, and has a scroll-like wood handle. It has a straight tapering spout and a flat cover with turned finial.Gallery Label
The tapered sides and straight spout of this Irish coffee pot follow traditional styles of earlier 18th-century English examples, but the configuration of the base is rare in Irish silversmithing.  The bottom of the pot is domed and rests on three feet with ribbed molding, echoing that of the base, rim and lid.  The construction virtually melds together a coffee pot with a footed tray.
