DescriptionPear-shaped silver coffee pot chased with leaf decoration. The pot has a short leaf spout and rests on three chased scroll feet. The cover is domed and carries a floral finial; the double scroll handle is ivory.Gallery LabelThe exuberant, organic ornament of this coffee pot not only decorates the surface but also forms functional elements: the leaves forming the spout and the lid's finial and the sinuous vines curled into scroll feet. Appropriately, a coffee plant was chosen for the design; coffee berries can be seen among the ribbed leaves, and the flowers accurately depict the plant's white, five-petal blooms.
