DescriptionThis square composition consists of several panels of canvas painted in different shades of red and orange that are sewn together. The panel on the left is the largest; it is red and takes up about one third of the overall composition. The section to the right is a deeper shade of red interrupted in the center by a curved asymmetrical orange shape with a curved dagger-like off-white section of canvas that lands in the center of the composition. The remaining third of the painting to the right is cut into two nearly equal panels. The first section includes a little snippet of orange painted canvas in the top right corner. The rest of the top half of this small section is the same bright red as the panel to the far left. The lower half of this small section is made up of two oblong shapes in different shades of orange and ends in bright red. The last small section is the same deep red as the central panel and has a small dollop of crimson and the very bottom.Exhibition History
