DescriptionThis is a horizontally oriented painting with a total of 15 figures depicted in shades of red, orange, yellow, and green. Five of the figures are much taller than the rest and appear to be wearing long robes which turn into a spotlight sort of affect in place of their feet, where there are other smaller figures. Two of the taller figures have their hands together as if they are in prayer. Some of the figures are carrying small children, and some figures are wearing backpacks. All the figures either have their eyes closed or their backs are toward the viewer, so the view does not see the eyes of any of the figures. The background in the upper part of the painting is small, abstract, geometric shapes in varying shades of light blues, greens, and purples; the background in the lower part of the painting is mostly a deep navy.Exhibition History- L8
