DescriptionLarge green roemer with a generous round bowl on an open cylindrical shaft. The foot is made of a glass thread. A glass thread on the transition from bowl to shaft. Four rows of four knops, with a grid pattern, applied to the shaft.Exhibition History

Gallery Label
This distinctive form, known as a roemer, is named for the verb roemen, which means “to celebrate” in some German dialects. Notably, this roemer is about twice as big as average, suggesting it was made to hold generous quantities of alcohol for festive parties
