DescriptionIn this largely black-and-white, vertically oriented drawing, the top right corner façade of a neoclassical building peeks from behind three American flags. The flag to the left leans forward while the other two are in the center of the image and lean toward the right. The flags are attached to a lamppost that sits in front of the building. There are words in the architrave of the building, but one can only see the letters “N” and “I” from behind the lamppost. Branches from a tree appear in the top left corner of the image behind the flag furthest to the left. The drawing is grayscale. Posted on top of the drawing is what seems to be a ripped piece of paper with sticker of a flowing red, white and blue American flag with the words “I Voted – Yo vote” in blue next to it.Exhibition HistoryJane Chu: 50 States: America & Beyond, Sherry Leedy Contemporary Art, Kansas City, Missouri, September 2–October 22, 2022, no. 60.
