DescriptionThis doll portrays Takenouchi Sukune, a loyal general serving Empress Jingū. His face is oval and painted with pigmented gofun. He has gray hair, eyebrows, a mustache, and a beard. He is dressed in clothes made of silk brocade and lacquered paper armor with silk lacing and metal ornaments. He wears an eboshi, or hat, and holds a folding fan and sword with a fur-covered sheath. He also holds the baby prince wrapped in red silk brocade.
