DescriptionImage of a seated man. His hair is parted on the side and his wide side burns extend down to his chin. He wears a matching checkered suit with jacket, vest, stand-up collar, and bow tie. He holds a walking stick in his left hand and a cigar in his right. This half plate cased daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat with a burgundy velvet liner, embossed with the maker’s name, inside of a brown case with gold tooling and flower motif surrounding stars in the center oval.ProvenanceThe Hall Family Foundation, Kansas City, MO, 2019;
