DescriptionThis is a blue-and-white glazed ceramic vase. Its decoration and shape divides it into three sections. The upper section, the neck, is cylindrical. There is a solid blue band of glaze where the neck meets the body of the vase. The body is roughly the shape of an upside down pear–broad at the top and narrowing toward the bottom. It tapers into a cylindrical foot, set off by another band of blue glaze. Each of the three sections is decorated with a different blue-on-white design. The designs on the opening and the base are abstract, and the design on the body mostly resembles a leafy vine.ProvenanceAnna
