DescriptionThis print is a vertically oriented color image. The image depicts a robin (a common bird species) standing in profile, facing toward the left. The robin’s head, back, wings, tail, and legs are black, a darker shade on the head, tail, and legs. The bird’s beak is yellow, its throat white with black speckles, and its breast a brown orange. The robin stands in a green, grassy area. A line of green and brown trees runs along the horizon line in the background. A birdbath stands just in front of the trees, to the right of the robin. A light tan wash colors the sky behind the trees.Exhibition HistoryUnexpected Encounters, The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, June 2–August 12, 2018, no cat.
