DescriptionThis conte crayon drawing represents a full length male figure. The old man leans forward on two canes, which appear to support his weight. He wears an overcoat, shoes, and a cap. His neck is not visible, as his face is nestled into his coat and his gaze is fixed on the ground under the canes. The image is heavily drawn in the dark brown medium with loose, flowing strokes that define the figure and fill the nondescript background.Copyright© Joseph and Betsy Ritz Friebert Family Partnership
