DescriptionContour line drawing of abstract/cubist figure: top half (head and breasts/arms) angular, while lower half (stomach and legs) is rounder; one eye identifiable; stylized hair on top of headGallery Label
The whimsical title of this drawing does little to help identify its unusually playful subject. Ault made several sketches of the enigmatic Miss Hollywood, which suggests that he was working up to a more finished but currently unlocated drawing or painting. For this iteration, he rendered the abstracted, sphinxlike figure in profile with a carefully drawn contour line and a balance of curves and sharp angles.
