DescriptionThis vertically oriented ink drawing is rendered in simple black lines. A single human figure occupies the middle third of the paper, standing with their weight in their proper right leg and the proper left lower leg slightly pointed in that direction. The figure plays a flute-like instrument, held to the proper right of their head, which is inclined in that direction. A slender tree stands to the right of the figure. Curving abstract lines (maybe suggesting another tree and other landscape elements) move through much of the remaining space on the paper. On the verso is a graphite pencil sketch, oriented horizontally, of two men: one seated and one standing.Exhibition HistoryFurther research required
