DescriptionImage of figures, one holds a naked baby, partially obscured by shadows and a wall which has large color images of eyes displayed at the top.Gallery Label
Photojournalist, Alex Webb has worked all over the world, choosing from the beginning of his career to work in color. Webb has a particular fondness for the dramatic saturation and elevated contrast typical of color transparencies (slides). This image, shot in the blazing midday sun, is an elegant smattering of visual fragments. The dominant motif is the emblem of the eye, which symbolizes the inventive power of vision.
