DescriptionImage of young woman with dark hair that curls up at her shoulders. She looks down towards the left corner with a neutral expression. The left half of her face is darkened by shadows.Exhibition HistoryRotation 25. The Nelson-Atkins Museum of Art, Kansas City, MO, October 19, 2018- March 17, 2019, no cat.
Throughout his career, Harry Callahan used his wife, Eleanor, and their daughter, Barbara, as models. This intimate portrait of Barbara with a pensive expression suggests the inner emotional life of a girl on the cusp of becoming a young woman.
