DescriptionIn a vertical format, this illustration depicts a procession of soldiers marching in front of a building identified as a bank. Some of the soldiers are greeted by ladies who place flowers on their jackets. The procession is watched from a balcony on the right side of the composition by a smaller group comprised of a girl, woman, and man. The American flag hangs prominently over their heads.
