[1] The French and Company stock number for this object is documented in the NAMA registration files. The corresponding stock sheet, however, is missing from the Getty Research Institute, Los Angeles, French and Company Stock Sheets, box 49, folder 2. The sheets for other objects with the stock number 41034, acquired by French and Company in the same transaction as this needlework, are extant and indicate the group of objects was purchased from Blumenthal on June 1, 1938.
