[1] According to a note (probably from A. S. Drey) in the NAMA Registration file, this object was previously in the collection of “Prince Muenster, Hannover.” This may refer to Count Georg Herbert zu Münster was named Prince Münster of Derneburg in 1899 by Kaiser Wilhelm II in recognition of Münster’s years of service as Hanoverian ambassador to St. Petersburg, London, Paris and The Hague.
