DescriptionSilver coffee pot with wood side handle; the plain cylindrical body is engraved with a coat-of-arms within a cartouche. The curved spout terminates in a cap with a hinge. The plain domed hinged cover is divided in bands and surmounted with a turned finial.Gallery Label
The tall, tapered, cylindrical body of this coffee pot was formed from a single sheet of silver seamed vertically at the handle.  The pot's shape and its high-domed lid were popular in the late-17th and early-18th centuries.
