DescriptionThe columns formed as fasces, each supporting ten horn-shaped branches in two tiers (4 in the form of Colphin heads on top and 6 with Gorgon heads on the bottom) and surmounted by plumed helmets (with hinged ear guards and winged eagle crests), the bases with trophies of draped spears, clubs, swords and laurel. The plinths with plaques of Neptune and Amphitrite and ships' prows, on green marble bases with turtle feet.
