DescriptionImage of a man with his arms crossed. His hair is parted on the side and falls below his ears. He wears a suit with a stand-up collar and a bow tie. This sixth plate cased daguerreotype is housed in an oval brass mat (no preserver) inside of a paper -covered wooden case with an emerald green silk cushion. The case cover depicts an idealized scene of a house with a fenced yard and frolicking animals. There is a bright blue paper liner and burgundy velvet covered retainer.ProvenanceHall Family Foundation, Kansas City, MO, 2019;
