DescriptionThe print functions as a black and white “drawing” of the cropped figural form of a human being. It depicts only the right side of the torso, right breast, right arm relaxed by the side and the left hand proper across the abdomen and resting at the side of the waist. There is only a hint of clothing—a sleeve—on the right arm and the chair is represented only by a detail.Exhibition HistoryGeorge Segal Lithographs, Lawrence Gallery, Kansas City, MO, September 14-29, 1979, no. cat.
