DescriptionThis print functions as a black and white drawing depicting a person sitting on a chair. The partial figural form is closely cropped. The person leans forward resting his or her chin on a hand placed over a forearm. A vertical component of part of the chair is seen on the far right. The sitter looks pensively downward. The drawn lines are black and the white surface appears to be highly textural, but is in fact, flat.Exhibition HistoryGeorge Segal Lithographs, Lawrence Gallery, Kansas City, MO, September 14-29, 1979, no. cat.
