DescriptionQuarter-plate daguerreotype is a portrait of a young man wearing a red-tinted fringed fraternal sash and apron. The case, which is full brown leather, has a gilt border on its lid. A piece of paper inserted behing the image reads: "Solomon Carvalho NYC" Daguerreotype case
