DescriptionImage of a man wearing a brimmed hat with tall boots. His left foot is pressed on the head of a shovel pushing its pointed edge into the dirt filled landscape. This sixth plate daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat inside the tray of a decorative leather covered wooden case with metal clasps (lid missing); the case is embossed with a floral motif.Provenance
