DescriptionImage of three seated men with pistols and two with Bowie knife handles showing. From left to right, man on left has a 3rd Model Colt Dragoon pistol holstered on his left side, his right hand is resting on a knife so only what appears to be an ivory handle is showing. He also is wearing an interesting belt buckle. The man in the center has a 2nd Model Colt Dragoon in his right side belt, his left hand is resting on a knife handle. A rectangular belt buckle at the center and fringe from a sash are at his right hand fingertips. The man on the right has the backstrap and grips of a pistol on his left coat flap visible. This quarter plate daguerreotype is housed in a brass mat inside of a brown leather-covered case with a floral motif and a red velvet liner.Published ReferencesWilliam B.
