DescriptionOne of a pair of 1/6 plate daguerreotypes showing a dour-looking coachman or cabman in-and-out of his professional gear (this one in), consisting of a hat with pompom, wrapped scarf with fancy design, heavy dark animal fur mitts, winter jacket, and his whip. Housed in two full leather cases, one nesting swan design and the other, flowers. One spine is split, the other weak. The companion piece, the coachman without his gear, is numbered P5.400.435.01.
