DescriptionThis large charcoal drawing depicts a man rendered from behind. The artist has drawn his model from the mid-thigh upwards. The figure is nude above the waist revealing well-defined musculature. His arms are raised and his hands rest on top of his head with his fingers intertwined. This pose causes his elbows to jut out on either side of his head. The musculature of the man's back is depicted with great anatomical accuracy and detail in contrast to his briefs, which are more summarily executed.
