DescriptionBobbin-made part lace of the type known as Duchesse. Fairly coarse lace worked in whole and half stitch with raised edges worked with thick thread, bundles of thread, and some "woven." The tie is made to fit around a shallow V-shaped neck and for the two ends to cross at the center front forming a stylized bow.
